![]() ![]() I'm pretty sure we're on the same page here. But you also said that the requirement changes based on the game - such is the case with CS GO, which requires smaller size during the download than Minion Masters. ![]() You said that even the slightest of changes needs 1 gb redownload of the file. The changes in total of this 11MB update actually are small in size, that's why it is so much faster. CS GO is bigger in size, but if you look inside the folder where it is installed, you will see that most filesare untouched by that last update. You do not seem to understand how it works. It isn't about my hard drive or cpu, the difference in the download speed in the game itself, Minion Masters. But the time for this 1 GB change was 10 seconds for CS GO and 1 minute for Minion Masters. There is nobody to blame, everything works as intended. This update still took a while despite the small download, because of the 10 GB that had to be written on disk. the download was so small because there was no content inside these files, just zeroes. Steam only downloaded 400 bytes (!!) to create these 3 files of 10GB. This update did nothing, it only created 3 files extra that took up 10GB of space. It was renamed to PUBG, logos where changed and the game got an "update". The account of the developer got hacked and the game was modified. You probably never heard of the game Measurement Problem. But they still need to be written in full size in the end. Same can go for updates, depending on how well the files can be compressed. Somtimes a game can take up 5GB on your disk, but the download through Steam will only be 2 or 3GB for example. There is also the possibilty of compression. ![]() CS GO is bigger in size, but if you look inside the folder where it is installed, you will see that most files are untouched by that last update. ![]()
